Our Capital Campaign

By pledging your financial support to Chaparral High School through our capital campaign, you not only support the Football Team directly, but also major facility improvements that are enjoyed by the entire School and Community.

The 18 month project, sponsored by the Chaparral Firebird Football Foundation, consists of a synthetic turf playing field, a large entertainment pavilion, a concession facility, a new gated entry, and a brand new Football Field House.

Our top-of-the-line synthetic turf field is amongst the very best in the entire State and is the centerpiece of Chaparral’s athletic stadium. The stadium is utilized for football, lacrosse, soccer, track & field, physical education classes, band and youth sports, as well as special Community and State events throughout the year. It also supports major school activities such as Graduation and Homecoming.

The Football Field House, a 2-story 7,500 square foot structure, contains a players locker room, an athletic trainer’s room, coaches’ offices, and a meeting/film room large enough to accommodate the entire team. The building has space for small classes, study halls, and for players to relax. There are several large flat panel TV’s and computer equipment in the facility. The Field House also contains the Chaparral Football Hall of Champions. The Hall of Champions will open in 2009 and will contain video, kiosk, pictorial and trophy displays of former players, coaches, Chaparral NFL players, and significant moments in Chaparral Football history.

The Football Foundation has GIFTED the entire project to SUSD and Chaparral High School. But, the costs of the synthetic turf field and Football Field House are being covered by ongoing fundraising activities, including this capital campaign. The Chaparral Firebird Football Foundation is a tax-exempt, charitable 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation.

To support our kids, the School, and Community, now you can establish your own personal Legacy through one or more of the following capital programs:

Bird Bricks
Founding Firebirds Wall
Legacy Lockers

All of these programs will be associated with the new Football Field House building, as follows:

Bird Bricks: Paver-like bricks inlaid into the main walkway located alongside the Field House that leads into the athletic stadium. Numerous times a year, thousands of fans use this walkway to attend Chaparral Football games and other major events. The bricks can be engraved and personalized.

Standard Bird Brick: 4 x 8 inch brick - $125
Large Bird Brick: 8 x 8 inch brick - $200
Mega Bird Brick: 16 x 16 inch brick - $1,000

Founding Firebirds Wall: Beautiful metal plates prominently attached to the outer wall of the Field House along the main walkway. Thousands of fans file past this wall to attend football games and other major events during the school year. These plates are engraved and arranged prominently by sponsorship level boards in major donation increments. The sponsorship levels in major donation increments, as well as name plate sizes, are as follows.

Touchdown Club – 5 x 8.25 inch plate - $5,000 – 48 sponsorships available
Championship Club – 6 x 12.5 inch plate - $10,000 – 36 sponsorships available
Founding Firebirds – 8 x 25 inch plate - $25,000 – 12 sponsorships available

Legacy Lockers: The Football Program has 68 lockers within the Field House facility. While these lockers will not always be visible to the public, those with especially close ties to the Team may establish their legacy literally within the “heart” of the Chaparral Football Program – where the players relish their hard work and celebrate their victories. There will be small engraved plaques associated with each locker.

Timing issues associated with the creation and delivery of these legacy sponsorship products may vary for a number of reasons. One should anticipate the possibility of significant delays before their personalized products are installed within the complex.
