The commitments are finishing up as this weekend was the last official time before signing day this Wednesday.
Scout.com has confirmed that another player from Scottsdale (Az.) Chaparral has committed to a division-one program. CB Brendan Murphy has verbally committed to play at Air Force.
He says, "I picked Air Force because they compete in an increasingly better Mountain West Conference, have the academic reputation that some Ivy League schools struggle to compete with, and I have a guaranteed job for the first 5 years of my life after college."
Murphy was also offered and tripped to 1AA South Dakota State and D2 Truman State.
Murphy (5-10 180) was a 1st team all-region selection for Chaparral, recording 50 tackles and an INT, helping them win the 5A2 state title. He will sign Wednesday with fellow teammates Dwayne Garrett (San Diego State), Jacob Ehm (Air Force), Andrew Gustafson (Fresno State), Chris Fox (Utah State) and Chase Gorham (Arizona).
