| Chaparral's Gustafson commits to Fresno St. Chaparral's Gustafson commits
Scottsdale Chaparral senior offensive tackle Andrew Gustafson gave Fresno State a commitment to play football, and fellow tackle Jake Ehm is picking up interest, despite a knee injury that ended his season in September.
Chaparral coach Charlie Ragle said the 6-foot-6, 255-pound Ehm (who had knee surgery) has offers from New Mexico State, Air Force and Nevada. Ragle said Michigan State was in this week to see Ehm. Ragle said Washington State is right there for Ehm.
Ragle said that Ehm is still a few months away from doing drills.
"He's so athletic; he's very lean; he's going to put on more weight," Ragle said of Ehm.
Gustafson, 6-6, 270, will benefit from a redshirt year at Fresno State, Ragle said. Ragle said he is excited for Gustafson to play for Coach Pat Hill.
"He's a self-made player," Ragle said. "He made himself into a Division I player by working his tail off."
Ragle said 6-3, 230-pound senior linebacker Chris Fox has received offers from New Mexico State, Northern Arizona and Utah State. He also might trip to Nevada. FRIDAY DEC 18TH 2009
